Every change is a new opportunity waiting to unfold. You can’t let fear hold you back in life because you never know what amazing things can happen when you take a chance.
In 2021, my husband and I left Philadelphia and moved to Myrtle Beach. It was a huge change—new home, new city, and no real connections outside of our daughter, who had been living here since college. We had been visiting for years, and I had always loved the warmth and the easygoing feel of the South. The decision to move was like the start of a new adventure for us.
When we moved to Myrtle Beach, I planned to continue nursing, but the job market was different—the pay was much lower than in the Northeast, and with COVID shutting down opportunities, I found myself at a crossroads. Real estate had always been in my world—my husband was a builder, my grandfather was a builder, and several of my cousins were agents—but I had never considered it for myself. Still, I knew the business from being around it my whole life and even worked with my husband to build a home for our family from the ground up. If I was starting over in a new place, it seemed like the right time to start a new career in real estate too.
This wasn’t my first major career shift. Years ago, when my son started kindergarten, I made the decision to go back to school for nursing. That was terrifying in its own way. I had been a hairstylist since high school and doubted myself more than once on whether I could handle the schoolwork. But once I got into the hands-on side of things, it all made sense. I loved nursing—not just caring for patients, but later on, mentoring other nurses and helping them grow in their careers.
That experience mirrored my transition into real estate in so many ways. The fear, the uncertainty, the struggle of building something from the ground up—it all felt familiar. Starting my career in real estate, I was building a business from scratch. But I had one thing going for me: the local yoga and Pilates community I had joined after moving here. That group became my foundation, my first real connections, and from there, my business slowly started growing through word of mouth and trust past clients placed in me.
Just like nursing, real estate is all about helping people. Instead of guiding them through their health journeys, I guide them through one of the biggest decisions of their lives—buying or selling a home. The relationships, the trust, the impact—it was all still there, just in a different form.
I don’t think I would be here today without the many inspiring women in my life. I had a single mom who taught me resilience and hard work. Summers at my grandparents' beach house surrounded me with family, including my grandmother and aunts, whose strength and determination shaped me. All of their influences gave me the confidence to take risks, embrace change, and build a life and career I’m proud of.
Now, I’ve reached a place I never expected—financially secure, living in a community I love, and doing work that truly fulfills me. We broke out of the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle, and life feels different now. Instead of stressing over expenses, we have the freedom to make choices without worry, which is something I want to help others achieve through smart real estate investing.
But beyond success, I’ve realized how important it is to find balance. We moved here for the beach and the incredible community, and I’m making it a priority to enjoy those things. My husband and I take time for ourselves—relaxing on the beach, walking our French bulldogs, or golfing together (he’s been teaching me). We’ve worked hard to get here, and now we want to enjoy everything we’ve worked for!
Helping people through major life changes is what real estate is all about. Whether buying or selling, every move comes with big decisions, and having the right guidance makes all the difference. I work with clients at all price points, taking a direct and honest approach to ensure they feel confident every step of the way. When selling a home, I focus on positioning it to attract the right buyers and get the best results—especially if it has struggled to sell before. As a Certified Luxury Listing Specialist, I have the expertise to market high-end properties while giving every listing, no matter the price, the attention it deserves. For buyers, I take the time to understand their needs and find a home that truly fits their goals. Real estate isn’t just about transactions—it’s about making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible while helping people move forward into their next chapter!
Always Love,
